I’m lately in the mood of changing season! I know it’s early enough, but can’t wait to turn the page and wear happy colors, soothing neutrals, fresh and airy fabrics under the bright sun! Back in September, my favorite show at the New York Fashion Week was that of the King of All-American aesthetics, Mr Ralph Lauren, and so I though it’s time to revisit it, mentioning what I crave wearing and what inspires me to dress up in style in the coming months!
ACCESSORIES TRAVEL
Are you ready for cruise and maritime themes? A captain’s hat is always a validation of the mood, as it is the navy and tan items that build up a timeless seasonal wardrobe for spring. Souvenir straw bags, box clutches and shoppers, pointing to a vacation spirit are must-haves, in the same way ultra-chic Riviera-inspired cork platforms are. They elongate your figure but keep you comfortable too. Easy steps in great style!
CLOTHES ARE EASY-TO-PACK
All you need for mid-season is cable cotton sweaters, buttery-soft leather jackets in sporty styles, double-breasted blazers, bodycon knit dresses with elements from athletic swimwear, colorful pieces to spice up your neutral wardrobe, and bold monochromes for endless eye-catching combinations!
THE NAUTICAL ELEMENTS
It’s as if you are a prestigious member of a yachting club, and everything in your appearance revolves around the nautical theme! Seafarers by profession would recognize the geometric sail print, the nautical flags motif and the stripes. I was totally mesmerized by these gorgeous evening dresses made of shirting fabric; mixing masculinity with femininity, leaning of course more towards the feminine part. Plus there was sportiveness and functionality detected in these fabulous clothes and accessories.
THE AURA
Needless to say that it’s always a great pleasure to attend a Ralph Lauren show, encountering there the elite of the fashion scene, well-dressed clients, as well as Hollywood and NYC A-listers! Last time, it was Julianne Moore and Jessica Chastain, so I can’t wait to see who will be sitting front row this time (meaning early February). Thankfully, I’m always placed in a nice position, being able to see everyone in the room. The fashion house always hosts its guests to perfection, including once upon a time, during St. Valentines, when they offered us a little chocolate box from Dylan’s Candy Store, Dylan being Ralph’s entrepreneur daughter. Everything smells elegance and joie de vivre in there, at every show, every season!
So excited to see that again! Love!
