Bibhu Mohapatra is always unexpected, whimsical, and couture-level! His FW18 show at Spring Studios during the NYFW was another example of larger-than-life urban style. He loves glamour and in this collection he reinterpreted it through Charles Dickens’ “Great Expectations” story.
He approached just one edge of it to produce intricately embellished and detailed day and evening looks with painterly prints, fluffiness, and lots of sparkle. Black & white, as well as berry tones, are his favorite for the season.
