Cynthia Rowley is always planning a cool concept for her runway shows and this season was no exception to the rule! This time models seating next to guests and hiding their fabulous looks designed by Cynthia surprised the audience. Gradually revealing their FW20 outfits they were standing up to walk on the runway spreading excitement among the attendees. This was definitely an upbeat show with great ideas!

The designer is urging you to embrace the unexpected and find beauty in the flaws. In her world, everyone is a superstar. Scattered models in the audience stormed the runway and shocked their seat-mates proving that anyone could stand up in the audience and show off their strut. With #AnythingCanBeARunway as motto, the message was fun and strong.

As always, there was an unexpected mix of references from Murano to Mongolia, snow bunnies to
baby bonnet hoodies and sweatshirts that unzip into capes. Among the highlights was the classic tuxedo tee as a fun statement.

Airy dresses over t-shirts, feather-weight silks and cotton, a collage of spicy colors, and faux fur and suede created a seasonless mix of layers. While it was a mash-up of color, texture, and print, every piece was designed with intention and is produced in limited quantities keeping fashion’s impact on the environment in mind. Optimism, humor, and high-energy are always top of the designer’s mind. Whether it’s the clothes, the music, or the atmosphere, let’s march to the beat of our own drum.
