On Day 1 of the NYFW FW22 Collections, Christian Cowan took his guests 102 floors up for an upbeat runway show at One World Observatory, the highest spot a fashion show took place in the history of NYFW! It featured tons of sequins and feathers, bold color combos, dramatic makeup & nail art, but also cool details that make eveningwear feel seductive and unexpected.

Daring cut-outs, hem slits, crystals, metallics, asymmetries, ruching, and supermini hems are all made for the dance floor. The collection also included fun balloon shapes, ruffles, and on-seam feather trims that exaggerated the silhouettes. It is definitely a fashion-forward iteration of what to wear to formal events and cocktail parties, but also what to rock on a night out while bar-hopping or clubbing. Some sporty elements were also part of the mix like a feather-trimmed hoodie, a long-train mini-skirt with a zip-detail deconstructed puffer, and a graphic “NY Loves Me” T-shirt combined with a sheer metallic skirt.

The runway was very inclusive celebrating beauty in all its variations. These clothes and the performance finale proved that in fashion “character” matters most! Your personality should shine bright; that’s the takeaway message from this dazzling concoction of creativity and courage! We loved it!
