In a groundbreaking collaboration, 10 Corso Como has joined forces with Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, to ignite the creative sparks of the next generation of fashion designers. This exciting partnership sees a class of talented young designers from the esteemed MA Fashion course tasked with crafting a capsule collection adorned with the iconic 10 Corso Como logo.
Since its inception in 1991, 10 Corso Como has been a beacon of creativity, seamlessly blending culture with the latest trends to redefine the retail landscape. Recognized as the world’s premier concept store, it has revolutionized retail by marrying lifestyle and fashion. Over the years, the brand’s distinctive approach has attracted attention from institutions and universities worldwide, leading to numerous case studies, theses, and debates analyzing its unparalleled success.
This collaboration with Central Saint Martins reflects 10 Corso Como’s commitment to nurturing emerging talent and fostering innovation in fashion while championing diversity – shared values that underpin both entities.
“I am thrilled to collaborate with Central Saint Martins, a paragon of creative education and a global hub for emerging design talent,” says Gianluca Borghi, CEO of 10 Corso Como. “By challenging their students – the future arbiters of fashion creativity – this project aims to infuse our Signature collection with a youthful, contemporary flair.”
Fabio Piras, Course Leader for Central Saint Martins’ MA Fashion, echoes this sentiment: “10 Corso Como and Central Saint Martins share a natural synergy; both are cultural touchstones pioneering innovative ideas in Fashion and Design. We are eager to see how the students draw inspiration from 10 Corso Como’s heritage and distinctive brand identity to create designs that are both recognizable and fresh.”
In March, forty MA Fashion students were briefed by Gianluca Borghi at Central Saint Martins’ London campus. The challenge? To design a gender-neutral accessories capsule, reimagining 10 Corso Como’s signature pieces in new shapes, colors, and interpretations of the iconic logo.
In mid-April, five finalists will be selected and rewarded, continuing to refine their proposals into final prototypes. Then, in early May, an esteemed guest jury comprising international industry experts, alongside 10 Corso Como’s President Tiziana Fausti, CEO Gianluca Borghi, and Central Saint Martins’ Fabio Piras, will crown the winner. The winning design will be produced and sold across 10 Corso Como’s global network, offering the budding talent an opportunity to sign a collaboration agreement with the brand to design the 10 Corso Como Signature collection.
This partnership marks a pivotal moment for 10 Corso Como, signaling a renewed focus on its Signature collection. By bridging heritage with future-forward thinking, our favorite concept store is poised to embark on an exciting international development plan, reaffirming its status as an icon in the fashion industry.
