For Alice + Olivia Fall/Winter 2019, designer Stacey Bendet created a setting filled with flowers and butterflies. Not dreamy and innocent ones but bold and electrifying, cast on a dark background. The show at the Angel Orensanz Center was highly theatrical and Instagrammable. Over-the-top sparkle, exuberant colors, sexy high slits, plunging necklines, animal & floral prints, sheerness and velvet opacity surely constitute what she calls this season ‘Fantasia’. Accessorized with dramatic headpieces and boots, the dresses and ensembles are crowded with interesting details that are fascinating to a larger loyal clientele. For party time and Holiday festivities, Alice + Olivia is again your go-to solution. She even spices up bridal, in a naughty cool way! Her ‘Go Love Yourself’ lettering on T-shirts went viral and this is one I totally abide with.
