Empire Fall/Winter 2011/12 Collection by Alice Hajipanayi, presented at Athens Fashion Week, was full of ultra-modern urban looks with 60’s-70’s highlights and beautiful contrasts of materials. We loved the neutral shades, the comfortable fabrics, the fitted pieces and the smart interplay with loose forms. Our favorites were the leather dress in toffee brown, the maxi dresses in fluid, light fabrics and the combination of a golden, sequined fitted pant with a very soft knit in a warm, interesting red shade. Alice is charming and fresh in her approach, adopting Parisian chic and mixing it up with boho influences. Inspired by style icons such as Jane Birkin, Bianca Jagger and Marianne Faithful, she infuses her looks with dynamism and overflowing femininity. Her creations, wearable and impressive, can meet every woman’s needs for basics that go beyond necessity and closer to desire for something elegant and new. Alice has already attracted attention this season, with her show at AXDW, during which she was awarded “Best New Designer”. We think she deserves this title and we hope she’s going to impress us even more in the future.
