I wanted to review my favorite celebrity looks from December 2016, because that was a really glamorous and festive month, during which jewelry, evening gowns and cocktail dresses stood out. Holiday season was full of surprises and great events. Famous people dress up all year long, yet we can’t get enough of them when they take their looks to a whole new level!
Mariah was a snow princess in Uel Camilo gown during the opening show of Mariah Carey: All I Want For Christmas Is You at Beacon Theatre, New York City. The dress had a plunging neckline and strategically placed sparkly embellishments. The designer marries Brazilian sensuality with Italian elegance!
Michelle Obama on her last days as first lady dressed up in custom floral Gucci gown! She was literally dazzling and breathtaking, accessorizing the glittering number with Yoko London pearl drop earrings and pearl cluster ring at the Kennedy Center Honors show at the Kennedy Center, Washington, DC. With a legacy that spans over 41 years, Yoko London now houses one of the world’s rarest pearl collections! Equally rare was her Michelle’s December 2016 pictures; the epitome of elegance!
The trio of dressed-in-black La Perla stunners was captivating too, and I’m talking about Kate Hudson, Gwyneth Paltrow, and Demi Moore at the Goop x La Perla Opening of goop GIFT in Los Angeles, California. Gwyneth Paltrow wore a La Perla corset jacket and matching leggings, a key suiting concept from the new ready-to-wear collection designed by Creative Director Julia Haart.
Kendall Jenner was also sultry, edgy and chic, shooting for the Love Magazine Advent Calendar in the HERMAN Market Little Prick Bomber Jacket for the 5th Day, by photographer Hype Williams and stylist Lysa Cooper. The Little Prick Satin Bomber Jacket from the FW16 collection is available at Barneys (in the men’s department) as well as Holt Renfrew (Canada), Just One Eye (LA), Maxfield and additional retailers worldwide.
Hellen Mirren did diamonds and lace; a girl’s best friends! She wore Lydia Courteille diamond earrings, a Gilan diamond necklace, and Hearts on Fire diamond tennis bracelets to the ‘Collateral Beauty’ World Premiere in New York City. Shades of blue and dazzle are surely great suggestions for the red carpet!
Edgier but beautiful, singer and actress Keke Palmer – known for her avant garde style – wore a Maison the Faux, “Sloppy Handwoven Fringe Coat”, while snapped by paparazzi in New York City’s Soho. I attended the designer’s SS17 presentation back in September 2016, and I was really impressed by the originality of the concept! Maison the Faux’s current collection is available at Vfiles.com!
Happy 2017 with more Celebrity Looks! xx
