Hong Kong’s Fashion Visionaries Shine at Paris Fashion Week FW25

Hong Kong’s creative scene took center stage at Paris Fashion Week FW25, where the Fashion Farm Foundation (FFF) curated a stunning showcase of ten emerging Hong Kong brands. With a diverse mix of aesthetics, craftsmanship, and forward-thinking narratives, the HKFG FW25 Presentation and Showcase highlighted the city’s dynamic approach to contemporary fashion from all over the world. DEMO and KINYAN LAM captivated audiences with solo presentations, while other labels, including AENRMOUS, IP-AXIS STUDIO, JESSE LEE, PONDER.ER, REDEMPTIVE, REVERIE BY CAROLINE HÚ, RHYZEM, and SWEETLIMEJUICE, impressed with their fresh perspectives on modern dressing.

DEMO: Nostalgia Meets New Elegance

For FW25, DEMO drew inspiration from Hong Kong’s golden era of the 1980s and 1990s, blending vintage nostalgia with contemporary refinement. The collection embraced rich textures, from distressed denim to signature tweed, punctuated with bold embellishments and intricate embroidery. The presentation’s set design, featuring a Hong Kong-style bus stop, symbolized the brand’s ethos of movement, evolution, and cultural storytelling.

KINYAN LAM: A Dreamlike Vision

KINYAN LAM’s “We All Die a Little Every Day” collection transported guests into a surreal dreamscape, infused with memories of past lives and ethereal landscapes. A sunlit installation symbolizing transformation from darkness to light complemented garments crafted with hand-stitched textures and natural dyes, evoking the transient beauty of life’s fleeting moments.

A Showcase of Hong Kong’s Emerging Talent

Beyond these standout presentations, HKFG FW25 introduced eight other brands, each pushing boundaries in their own way:

  • AENRMOUS reimagined historical narratives with “Calamity Town I,” a collection inspired by transformation and renewal.
  • IP-AXIS STUDIO embraced urban cyberpunk aesthetics, drawing influence from “Cyberpunk 2077” for a futuristic yet dystopian collection.
  • JESSE LEE took inspiration from Romantic-era explorers, merging historical references with modern 3D-printed details.
  • PONDER.ER explored the interconnected structures of urban environments, reinterpreting everyday textures into gender-fluid silhouettes.
  • REDEMPTIVE blurred the line between art and fashion, presenting garments inspired by participatory art and the work of German artist Franz Erhard Walther.
  • REVERIE BY CAROLINE HÚ expressed poetic romanticism through flowing silhouettes and delicate embroidery, evoking nature’s serenity.
  • RHYZEM crafted an elegant interpretation of the night, blending Nyx-inspired mysticism with dreamlike tailoring.
  • SWEETLIMEJUICE redefined gender-fluid jewelry, incorporating 3D innovation into handcrafted, tactile pieces.

A Global Stage for Hong Kong Fashion

With VIPs, buyers, media, and influencers in attendance, HKFG FW25 provided a platform for Hong Kong’s designers to connect with global markets. Building on this momentum, FFF will launch a pop-up retail store in Causeway Bay in March, offering fashion enthusiasts a chance to explore these collections firsthand.
