Marsèll returns to Milan Design Week with a captivating new installation titled “Adaptive Ground,” created in collaboration with the award-winning design studio Objects of Common Interest. On view from April 6 to May 10, 2025, at the Marsèll flagship store on Via della Spiga 42, this installation redefines the boundaries between structure and fluidity, craft and innovation.
The ground floor of the store features unique furniture pieces that embody the signature aesthetic of Objects of Common Interest. Tube Lights and Formations seating, redesigned in black and wrapped in black leather, challenge conventional forms with their tubular modules.
Adding a sculptural touch, the Atmosphere Lamps—originally exhibited at the Noguchi Museum in New York—offer a mesmerizing interplay of light and organic shapes.
Descending to the basement, the space transforms into a site-specific installation where tiered platforms typically displaying Marsèll’s Gomme collection become seating, complete with leather cushions designed by the collaborating studio. In the center, Marsèll’s iconic footwear is showcased on an inflatable structure, secured by a white belt crafted from repurposed brand accessories. The installation embraces change and fluidity, exploring how spaces can adapt and transform through design.
Marsèll’s collaboration with Objects of Common Interest embodies the brand’s commitment to blending craftsmanship with contemporary artistic expression. This initiative is a testament to Marsèll’s vision of continually pushing creative boundaries, presenting a sensory experience where fashion meets art.
