Monique Lhuillier: More Dreamy than Ever

monique_lhu1Monique Lhuillier presented graciously, like in a fairytale told within a garden setting, her Spring/Summer 2011 collection of short and long dresses for each woman’s special day(s). Warm, earthy colors enriched with floral patterns and appliqués, golden, sunbathed hues in many textures and finally shimmering white or champagne shades, gave an “oh so elegant” version of femininity – confident, balanced and sophisticated – to the amazing audience of the MB Fashion Week in NY.

Details inspired by the Garden of Eden, such as the subtle snake pattern in flowing chiffons, were a fashion statement. Red apple dresses were a true “biblical” temptation capable of attracting all eyes on. In between, there were pieces in blues, greens and pale pinks, which seemed to belong to the summer part of the collection reminding sea water, natural settings and sunsets. The designer admits that when designing those, she was in a state of Euphoria!
