A few weeks ago I attended a music & fashion event, one of the many multi-faceted ones taking place at that moment not only in Athens but all over the world. As the trend dictates, groups of talented people from different cultural areas share one stage or catwalk so as to present something more open-ended, original and interesting. In this case we had the chance to see Celia D’s Spring/Summer 2011 Bridal Collection as well as the first Missoni Pret-a-Porter show in Athens. The Greek designer Celia Dragouni impressed us with light, romantic creations, full of transparencies, bows and nude colors while the famous Italian brand reassured through a splendid show its prominent position in the Greek market. Women in Greece love Missoni knits and “invest” on them! After the fashion show, the night continued with live 80’s music and an impressive dj set for those who love the powerful vibes and the strong beats. The event took place at the gorgeous Politia Tennis Club, one of the most upscale sports clubs in Athens, with the presence of the elite of upcoming fashionistas and socialites. It was organized by a Greek website specializing in restaurant golden-listing all over Greece, which is called Estiatoria.gr and tends to be leading in that area of interest, across the country.
