Head-to-toe sequins or embroidery is definitely the way to go in the new era, and Naeem Khan uses couture-level techniques to epitomize this type of unapologetic full-on glamour. Sparkle and statement color are the wow factors in the FW22 Collection presented during the NYFW.
Dazzling bodycon silhouettes, flirty naked dresses, disco-ball effects, textured metallics, sparkly leggings and jumpsuits, feathers, tie-dye prints, and all sorts of multicolor embellishments, along with maxi capes, and floor-length gowns, bring forward the regal spirit of the brand, as well as some 80s and Old Hollywood vibes.
The motifs – embroidered, printed, or embellished – are vibrant, often with exotic references. The styles are young but also elegant. Discreet cut-outs and sheerness are on point.
Bejeweled star motifs and bold florals have dreamy allure. They are made for the modern-day princess or Cinderella. Eveningwear options are always intriguing and fabulous with this brand! They’ll soon be gracing the red carpet on major A-listers!
Born and raised in Mumbai, Naeem learned the art of embroidery from the watchful eyes of his grandfather and father who designed intricate clothing worn by Indian royal families. Naeem moved to the United States as a teenager and began an apprentice for legendary American designer Halston at the age of 20.
Naeem launched his eponymous collection in 2003. Since then, his collections have adorned glamorous women around the world, including Beyoncé, Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift, Rachel McAdams, former First Lady Michelle Obama, Queen Noor of Jordan, and the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, among others.
Today, Naeem Khan garments are still hand-embroidered in India by his family-run embroidery factories and produced in NYC.
