This season NYC’s MB Fashion Week had such a tight schedule that shows started unofficially some days earlier, so I had the chance to see more and write more about it. On Feb. 6th it was the Rita Vinieris show at the Baryshnikov Center that kicked off my day with opulence and charm. It seems that the whole Fashion Week was Russian-themed, with many designers inspired by Russia and by current movies such as Anna Karenina, and motivated by Russian wealth. The very same day I was invited to the Russian fashion industry’s reception at the Russian Consulate, an amazing former mansion of great heritage built by a rich American family many years ago. It really is one of the major landmarks in this city. Heavily renovated, it offered the perfect setting for a grand event accompanied by the pianist’s finest tunes. I ended up passing by the Soho House where the Do Naturals party took place for those who love the natural products created by a wonderful family business, the Dolphin Organics. Ayo, the owner and host of the launching event for the new line, welcomed us warmly and made us feel very comfortable. So many people to connect there! Really liked it very much!
