My fourth day at the MB NY Fashion Week had mostly to do with elegance, confidence, impeccable style and great technique. Each one of the designers had exquisite style and a knack for something unique!
At David Tlale I really got wowed by the perfectly tailored, super feminine silhouettes and the neutrals which stand out! Amazing blush and beige and a very smart use of the black and blue combo underlined the arrival of a great designer who is here to stay! Luxurious, chic, and magically balanced all these dresses and separates seem to be what women want to wear right now!
After this exciting show, I rushed to see what Czar by Cesar Galindo was about, and felt that it was worth it! Beautiful, wearable pieces, nice prints, and a girliness that goes along modern lines. And continued rushing to the next show; Katya Zol’s which was Mongolia-inspired and complimented with a traditional performance! A singer and an acrobat were just the intro to a fabulous show of great technique. The designer mixed folk with edgy to create modern amazons dressed in leather and embroidered fabrics. I loved their outfits, long braids, and eye-catching makeup! They looked powerful and seductive!
Just after that, the Custo Barcelona show featured their signature blend of motifs and materials as well as some incredible fur coats and jackets, super colorful as they lately are! At Parkchoonmoo I appreciated their knack for structure and minimalism and some vibrant color combos such as red with blue and black! Clothes looked so comfortable and chic, ideal for every fashionable girl!
The day was super busy so I continued with K.Nicole who presented a more modern version of steam punk with great Victorian influences and subversive elements! I saw lots of neutrals mixed with bright girly colors and loved these amazing floor-length vests one could layer over a wintery outfit and make it warmer but still stylish.
But my most favorite show of the day was at the IAC building; Porsche Design which featured some amazing leather creations – the epitome of minimalist luxury – and a few eveningwear pieces that could be called a modern, space-age armor! Elegance and great structure were the keys to this exquisite menswear and womenswear collection!
Right after this stunning moment, I decided to try another unexpected thing – a dinner at the Greek restaurant Barbounia with my best friends here! It was delicious! But fun didn’t end there! I went for couple of drinks at one of my favorite NYC spots – The Breslin at Ace Hotel. Cocktails and atmosphere alike – this place is mere awesomeness! Stay tuned for more NY MB Fashion Week coverage coming soon!!!
