The Sandy Liang FW21 collection was presented to the NYFW via a digital lookbook. Familiar styles accented with refined, fashionable details elevate daily wear and polish the idea of comfort. The designer explains in her own words what drove her this time through the creative process, during adverse COVID19 times:
I think it’s about a marriage between what I really wear, and what I wish I could wear. I think about what my mom wore when I was growing up, and how I couldn’t understand why she always went back to her staples: shearling-lined mules, unflattering corduroy pants, and her puffer vests. When I look at my closet today, I have to admit I often go back to the same things.
