Trussardi FW23: Celebrating Milanese Elegance

Trussardi‘s FW23 collection, presented at Palazzo Trussardi near Teatro alla Scala, pays homage to the distinctive Milanese aesthetic. The creative directors, Serhat Isik and Benjamin A. Huseby, embraced the city’s industrious and refined vibe, reimagining iconic elements for a contemporary twist.

Their journey began with the puffer jacket, redefined as an oversized, plush piece that mixes well with daywear and eveningwear alike. The line, echoing the 70s to 90s Trussardi style, introduces softened leather, duchesse silk, and nylon in classic yet innovative designs.

For Trussardi FW23, Milanese chic is captured through a restrained color palette and recognizable jacquard motifs.

The duo navigated these clichés, using them to unravel the brand’s untold narratives. Matelessé pants, circular greyhound belts, and leather hobos embody this refined reinterpretation.

Gobelin jacquard coats, quilted nylon attire, and satin scarf blouses present a harmonious blend of tradition and modernity. Each ensemble is complete with leather pumps embellished with the circular greyhound emblem.

The exquisite finale showcased a floor-length mermaid skirt paired with a crystal-adorned belt, exuding elegance. Topped with a turtleneck and leather opera gloves, this ensemble stands as the epitome of all-black refinement—a fitting wardrobe choice for the Teatro alla Scala premiere and other special occasions.
